The two centers are distinct, but connected by an ancient Roman road that is still viable

Lucca with its ancient walls is only 20 km away. Florence (40km) as Pistoia and Lucca can be easily reached by train from Montecatini T. railway station. The town of Pescia (8km), the ancient village of Serravalle Pistoiese (6km) and the historic centre of Pistoia (12km) are worth a visit. Don’t forget to visit the close hamlets of Buggiano and Colle di Buggiano, you can reach them by 3km walk.
