We are in Val d’Orcia in the small medieval village of Monticchiello surrounded by the classic Tuscan countryside. Residenza di mezzo holiday house in Val d’Orcia countryside, is an elegant house in the center of the village with a garden and private parking.

With 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms Residenza di Mezzo comfortably accommodates 6 people. A room with a sofa bed allows you to add 2 extra people. The large living room has a relaxation area with sofas, armchairs  and two well-stocked bookcases. A nice desk near the window is perfect as a work area.

On the same floor as the living room we find the stylish dining room, the kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs the sleeping area with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The garden equipped with table, chairs, sofa is a pleasant corner to read or have breakfast in the open air under the shade of an umbrella. The garden, which can be accessed directly from the first floor, overlooks the quiet little square of Monticchiello. This authentic beauty village is also known for its so-called “poor” theater in which all the inhabitants are authors / actors. It takes place for about fifteen days in summer.

Within a few kilometers it is possible to visit the beauties of the Val d’Orcia, UNESCO World Heritage Site, including Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni and the wine lands of Montepulciano and Montalcino. Siena can be reached in an hour by car and in an hour and a half you can reach the beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia.

For cycling fans Val d’Orcia is a land of gravel “strade bianche” too. Every year this area hosts “Eroica” the traditional bike race of vintage bicycles and retro clothes. EROICA MONTALCINO – 28 MAY 2023.

Moreover there’re permanent routes (209 km) can be followed all year round, with any type of bike to enyoy the Tuscan landscape.
